CMF by Nothing is a budget-focused sub-brand of Nothing Technology Limited (Nothing), launched in August 2023. The company develops smartphones, audio products and smartwatches in a series of different colours and finishes.

Alongside the main Nothing brand, the company introduced CMF by Nothing in August 2023. The sub-brand focused on accessible, design-driven consumer products.^[1] CMF launched with three products: CMF Watch Pro, CMF Buds Pro and CMF Power 65W. It has since released newer models of each of these products and expanded its product line into phones as well as diversifiying its audio offering with the likes of CMF Neckband Pro and CMF Headphone Pro.^[2] On 25 September 2025, it was announced that CMF would soon no longer operate as a sub-brand, instead operating as an independent subsidiary; becoming India's first global smartphone company with a strategic joint venture with Optiemus.^[3] The company was registered as CMF India Private Limited on 23 December 2025.^[4]

CMF is a well known term within product manufacturing, which stands for “Colour, Material, Finish”, referring to three categories of product design. The CMF by Nothing brand borrows this term to reflect its focus on design fundamentals. CMF aims to make “beautiful tech accessible to everyone”.^[1,5]

All CMF by Nothing phones run on Nothing OS, the Android-based skin created by parent company, Nothing .
