 +Nothing Power (1) was a prototype 3-in-1 portable charger, developed by Nothing. The device was to feature wireless charging, 65 W fast wired charging for laptops and phones, and also functioned as a power bank. Although designed and prototyped internally, the device was scrapped and never entered production. Nothing has written about the Power (1) and produced a video on why it was cancelled.

 +====== History & cancellation ======
 +On 24 October 2023, Nothing uploaded a video and wrote a community post on the failed device, which was due to be released after [[hardware:ear_series#ear_1|Ear (1)]].((https://nothing.community/d/2378)) Carl Pei confirmed in the video that they had problems with thermals, and that if they used the charging speed they wanted, it would overheat.
 +
 +It also failed Nothing’s durability drop tests, which Carl attributed to a large metal part adding weight to the device.((https://instagram.com/reel/DWjgUcfj1sC/)) With Nothing’s size at the time, Carl also mentioned that cost and supplier pricing challenges played a role in the decision to discontinue the product.((https://www.androidauthority.com/nothing-power-1-3379185))
 +
 +====== Design & specification ======
 +The device was designed with a transparent plastic housing, echoing Nothing’s now-infamous design language. The oval shape with two circles inside shares a similar design to the 2025 Nothing [[hardware:headphone_1|Headphone (1)]].
 +
 +Intended to function as both wireless charger and a power bank, it featured an integrated battery with both a Qi charging coil on top for wireless charging, as well as a USB C and USB A port, designed to charge three devices simultaneously.((https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/10/27/nothing-ceo-reveals-failure-canceled-nothing-power-1-charger))
 +
 +====== Significance & Legacy ======
 +Despite not being released to the public, Carl stated that the development of Power (1) offered valuable lessons to the company:
 +
 +“We learned a lot and grew as a team from Power (1). … This would have been a great product for Nothing in 2021, but in 2023, our ambitions are a bit bigger.”((https://x.com/getpeid/status/1716857487561765173))
 +
 +Nothing has since released a standard plug-in USB C charger, capable of 45 W charging with PD 3.0, called power (45w).((https://nothing.tech/products/power-45w))
 +
 +There have been no further announcements from Nothing regarding a release of Power (1), nor a different wireless charger or power bank. In a video on Carl's Instagram in April 2026, Carl stated that he "really liked the design" and asked the question "should we bring it back?"((https://www.instagram.com/reel/DWjgUcfj1sC/))
